Merry Xmas, enjoy your Redskins vs Falcons tickets. This week's game in Atlanta should lighten the load on Atlanta Falcons fans. The Birds are coming off a tough loss to the New Orleans Saints, a loss that puts them 3 games behind New Orleans and makes an NFC South crown unlikely. But there are a lot of positives to come from the Falcons performance as Redskins vs Falcons looms in the next few weeks.
Atlanta played one heck of a game againts a good team. More importantly it looks like someone woke up Michael Turner and told him the season has started. Turner put up 150 yards in the game and looked like the running back he was last season. That should take the pressure off Matt Ryan and put it on the Redskins. What's more, the Falcons now know that they're playing for a Wild Card spoit and every game becomes important, providing motivation. A good game againts the Redskins could put the Falcons back on track as they move on to face the Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before a big game against the New England Patriots.
