Both the Falcons and 49ers have to be in a bad mood for this game. The Falcons have had two weeks to think about a loss to the Patriots. The 49ers have had a week to think about a heartbreaking last minute loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Neither team is ready to hang it's head just yet and both should be ready and able to prove their mettle on Oct 11th.
For Falcons ticket holders that means seeing Matt Ryan get back to airing it out to Tony Gonzales and handing it off to a productive Michael Turner. Against New England Gonzales posted a single catch, Turner only 56 yards. Against the 49ers those numbers will have to improve.
The 49ers had a game in the bag against the Vikings, needing only a stop in a long possesion by Minnesota. It didn't happen. But tighten up on defense and San Francisco 49ers fans could see a team ready to step into the spotlight with a win over the Falcons. Shaun Hill has been playing well and Frank Gore is a beast on the ground. With two teams rebounding from haunting losses, 49ers vs Falcons tickets should be a test of determination for both teams.

49ers vs Falcons Tickets - West vs South
49ers vs Falcons tickets offer some interesting questions. Are the 49ers for real in 2009? It's a tantalizing question. The NFC West has been ripe for the taking. A strong performance by the 49ers to begin the season is turning heads. The Falcons are also off to a good start and may be better than the 11-5 team of 2008.
While the 49ers and Falcons may not be considered frontrunners by many, there's no doubt these two teams have what it takes to make the post-season and if they do, it can be their year to shock the NFL. The Falcons are working with a hot young QB and a monster running back. San Francisco is working mainly on the adrenalin of Mike Singletary and running of Frank Gore. Both could carry them to a winning season.
So while 49ers vs Falcons tickets haven't gotten much attention, they probably should have. For the 49ers, a win over the Falcons could be a springpad to a playoff spot. For the Falcons, topping one of the more improved teams in the NFL is a must if they want to keep the ball rolling in their conference.

Patriots vs Falcons Tickets - New England Next
Patriots vs Falcons tickets may be the NFL's biggest ticket in Week 3. The Atlanta Falcons are on a 2 game roll, having dusted off the Dolphins and Panthers to open the season. Right now, it looks like the Falcons have picked up where they left off in 2008. Matt Ryan has been cooly efficient. The running game is in good hands (or legs) with Michael Turner and Tight End Tony Gonzales is igniting Atlanta's passing game.
Is New England ready for the Falcons? Remnember, the Patriots barely escaped with a win in the opener against the Buffalo Bills, then got trounced by the Jets in Week 2. Are we witnessing the decline of New England and the Tom Brady era? Either the Falcons or Patriots will be exposed in some way or another this weekend. Certainly, catching the Patriots after a rare loss is probably not what the Falcons wanted. better to sneak up on them. Still, if Turner is churning and Gonzales keeps up the pace, this Falcons vs Patriots contest will be one of the better games in the NFL in Week 3.

Panthers vs Falcons Tickets - Sept 20th-Georgia Dome-Falcon Feast
The Panthers vs Falcons game on Sept 20th in the Georgia Dome looks like it could be a Falcon feast. the Carolina Panthers are coming in after a loss to Philadelphia where everything went wrong again. Akin to last season's playoff loss, Jake Delhomme had five turnovers. Overall the Panthers committed seven, and then lost 2nd string QB Matt CCown to injury.
The Atlanta Falcons on the other hand, topped the Miami Dolphins 19-7, created turnovers, and introduced Tony Gonzales with a 5-catch, 1-TD performance. The win ties the Falcons with New Orleans for the NFC South lead.
If you're a Falcons fan, these Panthers vs Falcons tickets should have you licking your chops. The Falcons, at home, riding high, against what has to be a demoralized Panthers team. The setup is perfect, especially with the New Orleans Saints facing the Philadelphia Eagles. smells like an NFC South lead.

Redskins vs Falcons Tickets - East Meets South
Redskins vs Falcons tickets are another element in this epic contest between the NFC South and the NFC East. The North and West seem to be almost forgotten in the excitement generated by these games. The NFC South features three teams deemed to be playoff contenders, the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints. The NFC East boast the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys.
Based on a quick review of the national media, the Washington Redskins are the forgotten team of the NFC East. Few have picked them to be in the mix in December. But it would behoove us to look at the possible weaknesses of the other teams before counting them out. The Cowboys have big questions regarding team chemistry and possible loss of faith in ther coaches. The Giants have big doubts about their passing game without Plaxico. And the Eagles are known to be uneven from year to year. That leaves the Washington Redskins to be another NFL surprise like they were in the first part of 2008 before collapsing. It bears watching.

Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons Tickets - Dec 6th - Georgia Dome - Two Birds Collide
Expect Eagles vs Falcons to be a huge collision. Both the Falcons and the Eagles have every right to be hopeful of a playoff spot in 2009. The Falcons got there in 2008, with rookie quarterback Matt Ryan. The Eagles appeared under venerable QB Donovan McNabb. Looking at this matchup from the pre-season, I'm thinking it has big time playoff implications.
We'll examine it with more detail later in the season, and certainly with more information on bothe the Eagles and Falcons. From this perspective though, I can see the Eagles battling the Giants and Cowboys in a close race in the NFC East. I can also see the Falcons in a tight contest with the Saints and Panthers in the NFC South.
So both the Eagles and the Falcons would be coming into this game with a "must win" attitude and that's the element that makes NFL games great. If you're looking to be at an important, season changing game, Eagles vs Falcons tickets could be the right choice.

Buccaneers vs Falcons Tickets - Nov 29th - Georgia Dome - Bucs at Falcons No Picnic
By all indications the Buccaneers at Falcons matchup looks like a piece of cake for the Falcons. But remember, this is the NFC South, where no member has won consecutive title in over a decade, and today's winner is tomorrow's meat. The Alanta Falcons underwent a marvelous reconstruction in a remarkably short time, posting an 11-5 record in 2008. Falcons ticket holders have high expectations of another playoff spot and maybe even a Super Bowl if the cards are right.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers collapsed in 2008, booted Jon Gruden, and now have a sense of dissaray about them, having dumped their offensive co-ordinator just prior to the season starting. With everything stacked against them, they're just the kind of team to come in and wreak havoc on an NFC South opponents plans. That's just the way it's been in this division.
Realistically, Bucs vs Falcons looks like a laugher. Atlanta at full strength should roll over the Buccaneers. Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, and Roddy White should have a field day with a new Buccaneers secondary still learning a new system. If everything was played on paper, and NFl rivalries didn't count for anything, bank on Atlanta. But in this league and especially this division, Falcons vs Buccaneers is far from a sure win for Atlanta.

Redskins vs Falcons Tickets - Nov 8th- Georgia Dome - South vs East
Redskins vs Falcons tickets are a one way pass to one of the better battles being waged in 2009 by the NFC South and NFC East. The Atlanta Falcons are one of the rising stars in both the NFC South and the NFC in general while the Washington Redskins appear to be trying to find their way home. Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is prone to throwing money at problems while the Falcons have gone the other way, carefully selecting both talent and character to build for the long term.
When the Redskins line up against the Falcons in the Georgia Dome, they'll be bring in some high priced talent. Most notable is Albert Haynesworth, who signed a megadeal to strengthen the Redskins defensive line. Otherwise Washington has toed the line, keeping intact a roster that finished 8-8 last season. Look for QB Jason Campbell though, to be a spark plug waiting to go off. Campbell is in the final year of his contract and carrying a chip on his shoulder. Wide receiver Santana Moss remains the mainstay of this passing game, and Falcons defensive backs will have to keep him in check. The Falcons D-line and linebackers will have to deal with Clinton Portis, a bruising runner who still has some gas in the tank.
But Falcons ticket holders will be at the Redskins game to see their Wunderkind Matt Ryan, battering ram Michael Turner, and newly signed Pro Bowl Tight End Tony Gonzales make mincemeat out of a Redskins defense that has suffered some sever blows in the last few years. While the signing of Haynesworth probably boosted the rush, serious problems remain in the secondary where teams found success with the long ball in 2008.
My take? Get ready for the Redskins vs Falcons game to be a re-affirmation of the Falcons ascendancy in the NFC. Atlanta may not surprise anyone as they did last season, and the Falcons have one mean slate of games. But they're fundamentally better then the Washington Redskins and running on a much more even keel. Barring major injuries, the Falcons topping the Redskins is a done deal.

Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons Oct 18th - Georgia Dome
By the time this Bears vs Falcons game rolls around things should be heating up. The Falcons have a pretty tough schedule, facing the Dolphins, Panthers, and Patriots the first three weeks. getting through that even 2-1 would be a pretty good start. A West Coast trip to face the 49ers leaves the bears and Falcons matching up in Mid-October, when the weather is getting cool and the NFL is starting to burn. Nobody wants to get left behind.
The Chicago Bears will bring Jay Cutler and Matt Forte. The Falcons will bring Matt Ryan and Michael Turner. Atlanta likes a big pass rush from the D-Line, especially, John Abraham. Chicago wants linebackers Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher in on every play. But both the Falcons and Bears have some unanswered questions in 2009:
Can Matt Ryan duplicate or even improve on his rookie performance?
Will Tight End Tony Gonzales take the onus off Michael Turner, give the offense more options, and improve the running and passing game?
Can the youngsters on the Falcons defense step up and improve on the play of the veterans they've replaced?
Can Jay Cutler be the man to make the Chicago Bears Super Bowl worthy?
Is Matt Forte durable enough to be involved in all phases of the offense as he was last season?
Does the famed Bears defense still have it's punch?
Maybe this Bears vs Falcons tickets won't answer all these questions. But it will give Atlanta football fans a great chance to catch a quality game that could very well have an impact on playoff spots come Christmas tiome. Enjoy.

Panthers vs Falcons Tickets -Sept 20 - Georgia Dome
Panthers at Falcons tickets should be one heck of a way for Falcons fans to get their NFC South schedule kicked off. Let's face it, the Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and New Orleans Saints, will probably spend most of 2009 beating each other to death. This Panthers and Falcons matchup is no different.
The Panthers will come into the Georgia Dome looking to pound the rock, using DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart as battering rams while hoping Steve Smith can provide some oomph through the air. The Falcons will answer defensively with a heavy reliance on Peria Jerry and hopefully better production from DT Trey Lewis. John Abraham and rookie Lawrence Sidbury will have to keep the Panthers passing game in a hurry up mode.
But what Falcons tickets holders want to see is on the other side of the ball. Matt Ryan feeding the ball to Michael Turner to keep the rush in check, and using opportune passing to new Tight End Tony Gonzales and the red hot Roddy White for the big hit. It's a pretty exciting time for Atlanta football fans as the Falcons try to do what they've never done before, which is have back to back winning seasons. This Panthers and Falcons matchup should be a classic.
