Buccaneers vs Falcons Tickets – Nov 29th – Georgia Dome – Bucs at Falcons No Picnic

by on September 6, 2009

By all indications the Buccaneers at Falcons matchup looks like a piece of cake for the Falcons. But remember, this is the NFC South, where no member has won consecutive title in over a decade, and today’s winner is tomorrow’s meat. The Alanta Falcons underwent a marvelous reconstruction in a remarkably short time, posting an 11-5 record in 2008. Falcons ticket holders have high expectations of another playoff spot and maybe even a Super Bowl if the cards are right.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers collapsed in 2008, booted Jon Gruden, and now have a sense of dissaray about them, having dumped their offensive co-ordinator just prior to the season starting. With everything stacked against them, they’re just the kind of team to come in and wreak havoc on an NFC South opponents plans. That’s just the way it’s been in this division.

Realistically, Bucs vs Falcons looks like a laugher. Atlanta at full strength should roll over the Buccaneers. Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, and Roddy White should have a field day with a new Buccaneers secondary still learning a new system. If everything was played on paper, and NFl rivalries didn’t count for anything, bank on Atlanta. But in this league and especially this division, Falcons vs Buccaneers is far from a sure win for Atlanta.
