The Atlanta Falcons have their backs to the wall heading into this week’s game with the Detroit Lions. Coming into the 2011 NFL season the Falcons were pegged as the team to beat in the NFC South. But somehow, the magic captured in 2010 just hasn’t carried over to the present. A season opening loss to the Chicago Bears began an up and down roller coaster season that hasn’t ended yet. After losing in Chicago the Falcons beat Philadelphia, fell to Tampa Bay, topped Seattle, got trounced by the Packers, and recovered to win at home against the Carolina Panthers.
Lions vs Falcons tickets are Atlanta’s chance to prove that they deserve to be considered one of the best teams in the NFC South. The Lions are 5-1 and will be angry as, well, …Lions when this game kicks off after losing a tough one in San Francisco. To go into Ford Field and beat a good Lions team is just what the Atlanta Falcons need.
Then again, those same Lions vs Falcons tickets could spell a tough loss that puts the Falcons another game behind either the New Orleans Saints or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A two game deficit at this point, while not insurmountable, is certainly a tough nut to crack for the Atlanta Falcons.
